About Our Trips Book Your Accomodation Activities

The Konkan Coast spans 720km of coastline along the Southwestern side of the Indian subcontinent solely in the state of Maharashtra. Moving further south, you’d find the Sapta- Konkan, which further extends from Maharashtra into Goa. Not to mention, there is the mighty Sahyadri Mountain Range (popularly called the Western Ghats), which forms the eastern boundary of the Konkan and extends into the oceans and the Arabian Sea, which marks the western boundary. These were just the geographics. Dotted with pristine, immaculate, sandy white beaches, each having their own distinct personality and with the oceans being both cool and calm for you to pick your ideal surf spots, the Konkan coast is a haven for most travellers. This area is extremely unperturbed and lush with greenery all around and you’ll find beaches here that are so secluded and breathtakingly beautiful that you’ll never want to bid them goodbye. Our trips are very interactive, fun, personal and they keep you on your toes all the time.

Canyoning

Walk Canyoning (known as canyoneering in the U.S.) is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling, and/or swimming.

Although hiking down a canyon that is non-technical (canyon hiking) is often referred to as canyoneering, the terms canyoning and canyoneering are more often associated with technical descents — those that require rappels (abseils) and ropework, technical climbing or down-climbing, technical jumps, and/or technical swims.

Canyoning is frequently done in remote and rugged settings and often requires navigational, route-finding and other wilderness travel skills.

Canyons that are ideal for canyoning are often cut into the bedrock stone, forming narrow gorges with numerous drops, beautifully sculpted walls, and sometimes spectacular waterfalls. Most canyons are cut into limestone, sandstone, granite or basalt, though other rock types are found. Canyons can be very easy or extremely difficult, though emphasis in the sport is usually on aesthetics and fun rather than pure difficulty. A wide variety of canyoning routes are found throughout the world, and canyoning is enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels.

Canyoning gear includes climbing hardware, static ropes, helmets, wetsuits, and specially designed shoes, packs, and rope bags. While canyoners have used and adapted climbing, hiking, and river running gear for years, more and more specialized gear is invented and manufactured as canyoning popularity increases.

Body Boarding

Boarding

Bodyboarding is much like wave riding (sometimes called Boogieboarding) where the average board consists of a small, rectangular piece of hydrodynamic foam. The board can be shaped and adapted to different riding styles as well as to the size of rider. So in all essences, it’s flexible. Bodyboarding has been growing rapidly and getting increased recognition over the last couple of decades and has now developed into one of the fastest growing water sports in the world.

Body boards were initially made from wood or fiberglass and foam, and were referred to as ‘paipo boards’ (pronounced PIPE-OH). Paipos are made from wood and do not have fins, but fiberglass/foam boards usually do have fins.

Fishing

FishingFishing is the activity of catching fish. Fish are normally caught in the wild. Techniques for catching fish include hand gathering, spearing, netting, angling and trapping.

The term fishing may be applied to catching other aquatic animals such as shellfish, cephalopods, crustaceans, and echinoderms. The term is not usually applied to catching aquatic mammals, such as whales, where the term whaling is more appropriate, or to farmed fish. In addition to providing food, modern fishing is also a recreational sport.

Trekking

Trekking is traveling by foot, different from other sorts of travel for many reasons. It tends to be less structured because weather conditions and topography tend to be the main deciders of travel plans rather than plane flights or hotel availability. As travellers leave their footprints often in rural areas, trekking gives travelers an up-close view of breathtaking scenery. Trekking embodies travelling through isolated areas and this gives trekkers an experience much different from those who travel in organized groups to more-popular destinations. It permits them to interact with nature, doing anything from climbing a rock wall to navigating across a mountain or entire mountain range.

Trekking can result in a trip as long or short as participants decide, from trips of a week or more to expeditions that last more than a year. Trekking can be as athletic and adventurous, depending on the tastes of the trekker. The less-structured, free flowing nature of trekking and a world of destinations entice a pool of participants to partake in this activity.
